৯৪৫ সনের ১৮ অগস্ট তারিখে বিমানপোতের দুর্ঘটনায় নেতাজী সুভাষচন্দ্রের অপমৃত্যু সম্বন্ধে যে সংবাদ প্রচলিত আছে তাহার সত্যাসত্য নির্ণয়ের জন্য ভারত সরকার ১৯৫৬ সনের এপ্রিল মাসে শাহনওয়াজ খানের নেতৃত্বে একটি অনুসন্ধান সমিতি গঠন করেন। সুভাষচন্দ্রের জ্যেষ্ঠ ভ্রাতা ছাড়া এই সমিতির অন্য সকল সদস্যই মত প্রকাশ করেন যে ফরমোসা দ্বীপের তাইহোকু শহরের নিকট বিমান-বন্দরে অগ্নিদগ্ধ হইয়া নেতাজীর মৃত্যু হয়। কিন্তু এই সিদ্ধান্ত অনেকে গ্রহণযোগ্য মনে করেন নাই এবং পুনরায় এ-বিষয়ে অনুসন্ধানের জন্য অনেক আন্দোলন হয়। ইহার ফলে ভারত সরকার পুনরায় এ সম্বন্ধে তদন্তের জন্য পঞ্জাব প্রদেশের অবসরপ্রাপ্ত প্রধান বিচারপতি জি ডি. খোসলাকে নিযুক্ত করেন (১১ জুলাই ১৯৭০)। প্রায় চারি বৎসর পরে তাহার

It is well-known that Subhas Chandra Bose, from the beginning, was against any type of compromise with British imperialism, with injustice and anything wrong. [2] In this aspect, they were individuals of opposite poles. The World War had begun in early September 1939 and it was going on in full swing in the beginning of 1942. [3]

আমাদের জীবনে এটি একটি ঘটনা। যে ঘটনার বিস্তৃতি প্রায় চার দশকের। বিষয়টি নিয়ে এভাবে প্রত্যক্ষ প্রতিবেদনের প্রয়োজন হবে ভাবিনি। কিন্তু সম্প্রতি যে-সব ঘটনা ঘটছে যে আলাপ-আলোচনা চলছে তার প্রেক্ষিতে কিছু নিবেদন, কিছু উদ্ঘাটন জরুরি হয়ে পড়েছে। আমার এ বক্তব্য কোনো কিছুকে প্রতিপন্ন করতে নয়। প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী এবং সেই বিরাট কর্মকান্ডের সঙ্গে যৎসামান্য প্রত্যক্ষ যে সংযোগ তারই সুবাদে এই প্রতিবেদন। আমাদের সংঘ-জননী বিপ্লবী দেশনেত্রী লীলা রায়ের স্নেহলালিত বলেও এক মহাজীবনের অপ্রত্যাশিত স্নেহ-আশীর্বাদ লাভের সুযোগ ঘটেছিল। তার মর্মকথাটি বলা দরকার।

The magazine dealt primarily with women's empowerment, simultaneously aimed at instilling a sense of unity and patriotism in contemporary undivided Bengal in British India.
